From ancient times, people have used Magick to make their dreams come true. Many of those attracted to Wicca are people who have been rejected by someone they love or loners who would like to teach someone a lesson. However, Magick is not a weapon of revenge.

An earnest practitioner wishing to use their internal powers to live a happy, fulfilling life should heed the words of caution defined by the three-fold-law of Wicca. This law reminds people that for every action we take, there will be an opposite reaction. If we have pure, healthy, unselfish intentions, we will get double or triple the joy in return. However, if we take the time to consider the feedback from nature before we attempt to create our spells, we may be saving ourselves from a lot of trouble in the future.

Energy is what runs the world. The energy that courses through our veins creates our reality, our life. The trees and other vegetation, the Earth, the rivers, the planets, etc are all made up of the same matter that human beings are made up of. We are created from the dust of the earth and we return to the dust of the Earth when we die.

When we work a spell, we set in motion a cycle of creativity that eventually returns to us. If we create joy for others, then the cycle of energy returns joy back into our lives. If, on the other hand, we create sorrow for anyone else, lo and behold, we will see that our life is full of unfortunate incidents which makes us think "Why me?"

Although I don't agree that "White" means good and Black exemplifies bad, the term White Magick is usually used to define Magick that is beneficial and which uses positive energy. Black Magick is the term used for Magick in which the end result is negative or hurtful to another.

As we know, Black Magick, since it is magick that hurts another, will certainly return misfortune into our lives. Sometimes it is easy to know if our spell will hurt someone. In that case, by all means, avoid it.

However, there are other times when we mean well and yet we create karmic debt. An example of this is when we work a spell to attract a particular person into our life. What if someone else loves this same person and by working the spell we are creating a separation between them? That would certainly bring us sorrow in the future.
